Start with the business conversation
Our own website needed to help an established business understand what we offer, how we work, and how to begin a useful conversation. That requirement shaped the navigation before it shaped the visual treatment. Capabilities explain the work, Process describes the engagement, and About introduces the experience behind the Agency. The site is an example of our own implementation; the illustrative engagement concepts are not presented as completed client projects.
A lightweight PHP foundation
This version uses PHP templates rather than a WordPress, Joomla!, or Drupal installation. Shared layout and component files generate the header, navigation, footer, and repeated interface elements. Page content and article definitions live in the application files, while service descriptions have their own definitions. That arrangement lets us reuse presentation and metadata logic without duplicating an entire HTML document for every address.
Readable addresses over internal filenames
Visitors use addresses such as /capabilities/ and /services/custom-website-development/ rather than needing to understand the underlying PHP filenames. Apache rewrite rules map those addresses to the relevant templates. Article addresses follow the same pattern under /insights/. Canonical URLs identify the preferred public address, while redirects handle selected filename and trailing-slash variants. This makes the published structure easier to navigate and maintain.
Responsive design with a consistent visual language
Bootstrap provides the responsive grid, navigation behavior, and modal components, with custom styles defining the Agency’s typography, palette, spacing, and page treatments. Images use WebP assets, and selected prominent images include responsive source options. Lazy loading is used for supporting images. These are implementation choices, not a substitute for checking the finished experience on real devices and measuring performance after deployment.
Bring the consultation into the page
Consultation calls to action lead to a dedicated booking page, where a modal opens with a LeadConnector calendar. The modal also provides a link to open the calendar separately. This connects the website to an external scheduling service without requiring us to build a calendar engine. It also introduces a dependency: calendar availability, embedded behavior, privacy requirements, and the experience on small screens need ongoing review. A working booking journey matters more than the appearance of the button that begins it.
Keep publishing and ownership explicit
Articles in this version are maintained in code rather than through an editorial dashboard. Adding an article means adding its content definition and checking its public address, listing, metadata, and sitemap entry. This is manageable for a compact site with developer-led publishing. A team that needs frequent nontechnical editing may be better served by a CMS. The right foundation depends on who maintains the content and how often the business needs it to change.
Treat launch as a checkpoint
The source includes canonical metadata, structured data, a sitemap, and indexing instructions. Those features make the implementation reviewable, but they do not establish search rankings or measured speed. After upload, the public URLs, consultation flow, analytics configuration, and search indexing still need verification. Our aim is a clear, maintainable business website whose individual technical decisions can be explained.
